Everyone Carries a Map of Their Own

We move through life guided by maps.

They are shaped by our experiences, our fears, our memories, our hopes, and our beliefs. Some of the paths are familiar, worn smooth by years of travel. Others lead into landscapes we have never dared to enter before.

But what if the map is not finished?

What if there are still new routes waiting to be drawn?

“Maps do not tell us where we are. They tell us where we might go.”
— Tuija Väyrynen

It All Began with a Question

I have always been fascinated by what lies beyond the visible world: how nature works, how people think, and what the countless generations before us have done on this planet we call home.

For me, writing is a way of exploring the world. It is an opportunity to pause and look more closely at the things we often pass by in the rush of everyday life.

I want to see beyond a person’s thoughts and glimpse the human being behind them. I want to feel the emotion behind the words.

At heart, I am a researcher and a lifelong student. Writing helps me make sense of the world and share my reflections with others. It is a way of letting the imagination wander beyond the boundaries of the familiar and travel where ordinary paths cannot reach.

I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. My first poetry collection, Wounded, Yet Alive, was born from a desire to give voice to the most vulnerable parts of being human. Every poem was written honestly, vulnerably, and with a spark of hope carried through each line.

My hope is that readers will find something of themselves within its pages. Perhaps a mirror for their own emotions. Perhaps the reassurance that they are not alone. And perhaps the discovery that even the most difficult feelings can become a source of strength for the journey ahead.

In the summer of 2025, I participated in the Art Breaks Walls writing competition. To my great delight, my short story was selected among the sixteen best entries and published in the anthology Memoirs and Bruises: Stories from School.

That experience encouraged me to continue writing and eventually led to my first full-length novel, Quantum Map, the opening book of the Quantum Trilogy currently in progress.

A Doorway to New Possibilities

Quantum Map opens a doorway into another kind of world, one shaped by questions, possibilities, history, science, art, and the realization that there is still so much about existence that we do not yet understand.

The unknown has always fascinated me.

Not because it promises answers, but because it invites us to keep asking questions.
